| Why don't you just RMA your PQI and see if that works? Just because the defective PQI stick didn't work doesn't mean that a working stick wouldn't. That should also save you some money. That's crap that TigerDirect sent you to the manufacturer* They should replace it if it's DOA or at least give you a refund. You should call them back and demand that they replace it, though from what I've heard about customer service from TigerDirect it'd probably be better/easier to just work with PQI. |

| It's a matter of about 3 weeks before I'd acutally get my RMA'd PQI 1gb ram back though... I have to send it, they have to fix it, and send it back. I could just take the loss for awhile, get new ram and be happy with the mini, because 256mb is brutal on Tiger. Then I'll sell the PQI when I get it ...who knows, I might even just keep it for one of my PC's. |

You could do that or use my link for a $9 stick of 512mb RAM. It's pretty good stuff and then you don't need to worry about all that. Of course, if you want a gig, that's another story.
Normally when you RMA they don't fix it. Normally they send you out a new one and then they deal with yours, testing it and such. Of course, that's only been my understanding of it and I may be wrong or it may vary by company. |
