I think Apple should just forget the BYODKM thing and offer ADTM.
Affordable Displays That Match.
A built-in iSight camera would be nice too! |

That would be a good plan. If Apple could make a nice display more along the lines of the iMac with an iSight at a good price it would sell well.
I like the look of my 20" ACD but to be honest more people would probably be more attracted to a white/black plastic model. This would also keep the cost down. |

A white and silver plastic model would be cool. They could even do something like this and throw an iSight in it. I think the 19" ViewSonic with dock will sell for around $300. I could see Apple selling a ton of them at $399 with both things. |

That would be very cool, especially if it played the videos right off the iPod. |

| With LCD display prices dropping and the persistent image problems with current Cinema Displays it seems inevitable that Apple will refresh the entire line. |

Aesthetically, I'll take the old ADC models any day. In fact I recently voted with my feet and bought a used 20" to go with my Cube. They take up more real estate than the current ACD models, but the pinstripe border and the plexiglas feet are really nice. _________________ Mini 1: 2.3 ghz Core i5; 8 gb RAM, Corsair 240gb SSD, 500 gb Seagate XT

They're better displays in many ways. No persistency problem and more accurate color when calibrated. I have a 23" on my Mac Pro and a couple on G5s. |

A 17" widescreen monitor is just a wider 15" traditional monitor, same height:
17" 16:10 monitor = 14.4" wide x 9.0" tall
15" 4:3 monitor = 12" wide x 9.0" tall
To maintain the height of a 17" 4:3 monitor when going to widescreen, you need to go to a 19-20" diagonal. _________________ Moe
