Yes, that will work, harley. However, you can probably do better on pricing from somewhere else, and get RAM that's intended for the Mini. Most memory that adheres to the standard PC5300 spec will work, but I like getting RAM that is advertised specifically for Macs, as vendors won't complain if there's a problem with returns or exchanges.

Omni Technologies has the correct RAM for $53.99. I've purchased from them in the past and have been satisfied. I've also purchased from OWC and 18004memory and have had great results.

Thanks alot...I have another quick question...I had a Dell 5100 that I had turned into a Hackintosh and it had served me well for a few months. Well the other day the damn mother board fried. Is it possible for me to take the hard drive which I believe is fine...drop it into an enclosure and extract all my docs, music, movies etc?

o.k. that is a HUGE topic of debate. You can install 2 - 2GB sticks. The mini will only recognize AROUND 3GB of it but, the Mini will then use 128bit addressing because it will access the memory in dual channel.

I hope I've left this vague enough to not ruffle feathers but answer you clearly enough to make a decision...

You can also install a single 2GB module and a single 1GB module for a total of 3GB, however has hackermovie mentioned, you won't get the benefit of dual channel memory speeds.

No matter what however, Apple only officially supports 2GB of RAM in the Mini, so if you have problems or need warranty support, you'll have to put back in your original RAM.
