Been there, doing that!
I like how you put the name together. Mine basically came from a nickname too. |

I thought I'd change the Avatar and replace it with a picture of my first Mac. Yes, it still works, was forced to play around with it when my mini was in the shop and the other Macs were being used. (I never should have thrown out all the manuals from my old software. I found the disks, but I couldn't play any of the games because I didn't have the keys to answer the log-in questions.)
As mentioned earlier, the nick is a nickname I've had since early on...... no Lucy references, please.

Very cool. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for that beast? |

The list price back in 1987 was around $3700 with the HD and what was then called the Superdrive, a HD floppy drive, and our Apple LaserWriter ll was around $2000, so for those who complain about Apple's pricing now, be thankful for what you can get now for $600. I still have the orignial disks and manuals for the SE. I had upgraded to System 7. I don't think I have the orignial disks for System 7. This was the first of my Macs. Was replaced with an LC, than an LClll, then a PowerPC 7100.... etc... A piece of history, I can not part with. The original mini. _________________ 2.5 GHZ i5 Mac Minu 8Gb Ram

I bet most of the youngsters on this site (under 30) have no idea who Mr. Magoo is. If you don't you should try finding some video clips. I think there was a movie made. I personally loved Mr. Magoo when I was a kid. Today's cartoons simply make me dizzy. There is way to much going on for my taste. |

Though I never really liked the cartoon. I was always more of a Tom & Jerry fan over anything else. _________________

I also know Mr. Magoo, and I'm 25.
I think Wild E. Coyote & Road Runner was my favorite "classic" toon. _________________ MacBook Pro 1.83GHz Core Duo, 2GB RAM, 250GB HD, Dell 802.11n card, 1.4TB external

ClunkClunk. I think we are the only ones with animated avatars here. Your "Head On" always gives me a good laugh. |

Glad you like it
I was actually considering changing it, but there's a number of people who've said they liked it, or thought it was strange, so I think I'll just leave it there. I feel like if I change it, no one will know who I am _________________ MacBook Pro 1.83GHz Core Duo, 2GB RAM, 250GB HD, Dell 802.11n card, 1.4TB external

The first time I saw that Head On commercial was during the Conan O'Brien show. I thought it was a fake commercial like the ones they have on SNL. I'm all about humor and the lighter side of life. I think you should keep it! |

I don't think so!
I loved Mr. Magoo when I was a kid. But how bad was that movie with Leslie Nielsen? It was a total insult to us old Gooheads. |
