My username is one I have used for many years on a number of different forums and games, and it stuck. In RPG games, i like to use rangers, and 1021 is my favorite number (don't ask; I don't know why).
And my avatar is of Kalas, the main character of one of my favorite video games, Baten Kaitos. I have been trying to change is recently, but haven't found one I like more.
Ah, Splen, I see you caught up to me Laughing

55 seconds of that was all I could take. Does it do the same thing for 3 minutes?

Oh yeah, so I did! The only slightly worrying thing is that I don't remember saying anything remotely useful, so I guess you still have the moral high ground! Very Happy

I'm not really a big Devo fan. My friends just gave me the nickname in college and it stuck. I wore the Devo hat a few times at different parties. My favorite bands are the Who, Beatles, Stones, Floyd, Zep and Rush. As for the avatar, I pulled it from a Devo fan site. I think this is the third or fourth one I have used on 123macmini.

Dr. Gonzo was the alias of Oscar Zeta Acosta, who is most famously known as Hunter S. Thompson's lawyer in Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas. After seeing the movie, I was compelled to read as many of Thompson's books as I could find. I ended up becoming a huge HST fan, and I always had a certain affinity for this character. I added the 2k2 part back when I became a beta tester for xbox live. Someone else had already used the name drgonzo. Since it was 2002, I just added the 2k2 suffix, and it ended up sticking.

Oops, forgot to mention the Avatar. A couple of years ago there was an article on Yahoo news about the evolution of the cyborg. It had a link to a timeline somewhere, and this picture was on the timeline. I really don't remember much else about it. I just thought it was pretty cool.

I'm sure it took a few beers and head scratches to complete the mini-cube project Smile . Very suitable Wink

My name... means f-you in Cantonese.

I used to use it when sites forced you to register (as a joke, I'm not even Cantonese) in order to download, read articles, view pictures, etc. etc., and then I just gradually started using it in forums.

i haven't uploaded my avatar, since the one i use would probably get me a stern talking to, but here's a link to it anyways

i use it on a volkswagen community i belong to
late model air cooled VW's are nicknamed 'fat chicks'
i think the picture speaks for itself

the name Arsenic Pants came from the first two words that popped into my head the first time i logged onto anything on the internet back in '98 or so
the name just stuck
