Well, although I don't use Dashboard, I love Spotlight and Smart Folders!
I don't really use Spotlight for finding documents - I just use Smart Folders to manage those, but I use it all the time for finding Apps! Ones that I don't use every day that I don't deem worthy of having on the dock - type in a few letters of the App's name and bang! Much faster than drilling down through the finder!
My favourite Tiger feature so far!  |

I agree with you. I prefer the Mail.app search engine to find an email, though. Spotlight doesnt show the "subject" or the date.
