I would almost like to see Apple buy Nintendo one day. The war would really be on then. | See Steve Jobs running on screen in a red shirt/hat with blue overalls jumping on tiny Bill Gates with mushroom hats. When you get a iTunes flower, you shoot little tiny iPods infected with Windows viruses.

It's a dead heat.
I'm not really a gamer, but I would have thought the PS3 would have a commanding lead. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini

The PS3 has another effect that the Wii doesn't have. Even though everyone is not going to do this... but to 100% completely enjoy the PS3, you are going to have to buy or already have an HDTV. To get the full experience isn't just $600 +games +controllers +cables maybe, but other expensive equipment.
Yet with a Wii.. you can enjoy it on that 19-incher you have in your bedroom. _________________

I could be wrong, but doesn't the Wii have HDMI? Heading over to Nintendo.
Edit: Looks like I was wrong. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini

It would be nice if they did. Though if you want even component cables... you have to buy them from Nintendo.com. Unless you want to buy generics a week or two after launch. _________________

I like the Nintendo Wii the best. I like its games, and it's at a fairly decent price. The PS3, though, I have heared from Google News, is going to be about $600.00 US. I would definately not like to pay that much for a console gaming system. _________________ First gen Mac Mini |

Things could get exciting if game developers really utilize the Wii's controller. In general, console gaming seems so played out and badly in need of something fresh and new. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini

All models still come with HDMI though. _________________

i think the wii will be awesome no problems at launch keeping the nintendo carma...but with the ps3 you need to get the expensive version to get a good one because with the cheaper one they downgrade the internals which wont have as good game experience _________________

Otherwise it is the exact same. They even have the slimline PS2 complete chipset inside, this is only for backwards compatibility. _________________

Micosoft should be happy they released the 360 last year. I don't think it will do as well once the PS3 and Wii are out.
By the way... Wii is the lead! |

I might get a Wii, but only if I play it at Bestbuy or something first. Otherwise, neither. I personally feel the 360's just as good as the PS3 (even though the PS3's technically better, but only by a bit) so I'll just pick one of those up. Yay for $499 _________________ It's Gorzillra!
