After watching the keynote from the developers' conference, I became inspired to bone up on Objective-C and give Cocoa development with Xcode a try. (if nothing else, I'll have some fun in the process)
What I'd really like to see is a couple of forums for Xcode development. Perhaps a "newbies" forum where those new to Obj-C/Xcode/etc could touch base...A "books/tutorials/etc" forum for the review of learning materials...Maybe a section where users could share their code with others...And, of course, an advanced programmers forum for those much more talented than I.
Whatcha think? _________________ -=iMav=-

Whilst it would be nice to have a programming forum, I don't think that the size of the community here warrants creating additional forums at the moment.
Any topics at the moment could go into the Mac OS X forum, and currently there isn't any there regarding Xcode.
So my thoughts are leave it as it is for now. After all, there are other forums/lists devoted specifically to OS X programming which will already have an experienced community & userbase to assist you with your questions! |

Aren't we pushing 700 users right now? Personally, I'd rather have a dedicated programming forum instead of following/participating in random programming threads in the OS X forum.

But I am a 123MacMini BIGOT!! I don't WANT to take my OS X programming banter elsewhere. I want to stay RIGHT HERE! _________________ -=iMav=-

I think we'll hold off for the moment. We need to let the forums grow some more before adding additional threads. We're working on two things for the site that should be annouced in the next week or so.
