|
|
I was changing prefs on my external drive and i changed a permission to hide the drive. I thought I only did that to one acct., but apparently I did it to all of them. Now I cant see the drive.
I did the right click, get info, ownership & permissions...
How do I get it back? |

Hmmm, no clue. I don't have an external drive to play with to figure it out. But if you buy me one, I'll be sure to figure out your issue.
(I'm sure someone will be along shortly to help you out) _________________ -=iMav=-

I have a few suggestions! I am not sure if they will work, but this is where I would start.
Go to Applications> Utilities> Disk Utility and see if the drive is visable there. If so click on the drive and see if you can mount the drive.
If that doesn't work go to System Preferences> Start up disk and see if it is visable there. If so click on it to make it the start up and see if it becomes visable again.
Lastly restart your system from the Mac OS X Disk (CD or DVD) by holding down the C button at start up with the disk already in the optical drive and see if it appears in Disk Utility there and follow the instructions as above! _________________ 13' Macbook 2.0ghz C2D w/2gb RAM and 120gb HD

He pluged it into a mac that was there on the counter and changed the permission. I guess if it happens again I will need to buy another computer to fix it.
