Are you allowed to upgrade your RAM yourself on the MacBooks? I noticed they sell the RAM upgrades on the Apple site, which normally means yes, just if you use non-Apple RAM and F IT UP it's your fault and will pay out of pocket for any damages. _________________ "You must control your future by taking command of your present, and fixing and learning from your past."

If you install a part and break your Mac while doing so, then your warranty will be void. However, if everything goes fine, the warranty stands on the machine, except for your parts installed. Unless the parts cause a malfunction in your machine.. and Apple finds the root of the problem to be user-installed parts, then they might void your warranty also. _________________

That's a new way of installing RAM, but wouldn't that run hot. _________________ "You must control your future by taking command of your present, and fixing and learning from your past."

| I was suprised at how easy it looked to upgrade the hard drive and memory in a MacBook. Pop out the battery, unscrew the L, and pop out the HD and RAM. BOOM! Your done. |
