To me a comparison between a mini and any tower is just stupid. I also think their excuse is kinda lame too. A more fair comparison would be between the mini and other small form factor machines. The problem with this comparison is that apple blows away the competition.
I always hear complaints about the apple zelots. When I see reviews like this I think about guys with good paying jobs administrating windows. They must know that these little guys could put them out of work. _________________ Would you like to learn more about me?

Sure the other PCs might come stock 1GB... but shouldn't there be 1GB across the board for just a little better comparison? I mean the PCs are running 1GB, but all the Macs are running with 512 and with the GMA950 sucking from the memory. |
And anyone who has upgraded their Mini from the stock 512 to 1GB will tell you that the difference in performance is huge. | Exactly. So they are doing a disservice by not making the computers comparable to each other. The chip is capped in OS X to the current limit. Only in Windows can you achieve the full potential of the chip. _________________

Does that mean in Bootcamp or Parallels running windows, the chip performs differently? _________________ MacMini 2.0GHz C2D (2009)

Very true. |
