I couldn't wait any longer and ordered my Mac Mini from Apple on Tuesday. 1.25ghz with Superdrive, 256 (I ordered a 1gig ram module from New Egg to install myself, Apple wired keyboard and Kensington optical trackball. I also got an HP all in one printer for $129 which has a $100 rebate from Apple when purchased with the Mac Mini! I got everything except for the Mini on Friday and the estimated ship date on the Mini is next Monday. I noticed any custom config on a Mini is taking 6-8 business days. Is that the usual amount of time or could an update be in the works? Either way, I am an excited switcher who can't wait to use my new Apple machine. I've already sold my Dell / XP machine and won't miss it at all Smile

For some reason the 512MB upgrades are delaying things a few days. Confused

I got mine last wed. I still have 256 memory. I am feeling the pain of too little memory. It slows when i launch dashboard. I need to order more memory.

I have 1GB and Dashboard still takes a few seconds to load the first time you activate it. I think it has more to do with the Widgets going out on the net and updating their content than the amount of memory you have. However, after the first time there is no more delay. Are you still getting a "slow launch" with 256MB after the first time you activate Dashboard?
