Someone reported on Macrumors that it was different, but there was no real follow up or confirmation in the thread. I figured 123macmini would be a better resource to find out. Maybe someone with one the new models will be able to confirm this. I'm a long time lurker here, so I'll be patient. |

I would concur with Tenex, it is unlikely they changed the antenna design. What is more likely is that large batch of Mac minis from one assembly line had their antenna installed improperly (or at least not quite right) and it has now been corrected. I had an iBook G4 when they first laucnhed and many of use had a lump in the middle of the keyboard which was really just a case of a ribbon cable not being folded correctly underneath it, but it only seemed to impact a small batch of users right at launch. Eventually they will find the assembly line/assembler who is doing it improperly and the issue idsappears. Not that it does much for you knowing that, but it might be worth looking at how your AirPort cable is routed if you feel like opening the case. _________________ | Mac mini 2011 | Apple Thunderbolt Display | Apple keyboard and Magic TrackPad | 2Tb Time Capsule | Apple TV (3) | iPhone 4s |
