Apple Releases iTunes 7
Tuesday, September 12, 2006
Apple today announced iTunes 7, the most significant enhancement to its popular online music and video store since it debuted in 2001. iTunes 7 delivers stunning new features such as the new album and Cover Flow views of music, TV shows and movies, enabling users to quickly find titles in their library as well as casually browse through and re-discover titles they already own.
In addition, the iTunes Store is now offering over 75 movies from Walt Disney Pictures, Pixar, Touchstone Pictures and Miramax Films, that customers can purchase and download to watch on their computers and iPods, and soon on their flat screen televisions with Apple's upcoming iTV player. Movies will become available on the iTunes Store the same day they are released on DVD, with new releases priced at $12.99 when pre-ordered and during their first week of availability, and $14.99 thereafter, and library titles available for just $9.99 every day.

They can update their store with lots of new things for people to spend their lovely money on, but not update the free stuff it seems.
*continues waiting* |

*continues waiting* | I doubt they would ever offer free movies... but I have dozens of free songs and quite a few free TV shows... _________________

A friend of mine at work just got done doing about 2,000 WMAs, what a pain.
Overall I really like the update, the free ablum art is a nice touch, but it does pose a small issue...
When iTunes recognizes/has rights to the artist...
But when it doesn't have rights...
Not entirely shocking, but does kill your joy buzz as you try the flip mode the first time...
P.S. Up the Irons!!! _________________ | Mac mini 2011 | Apple Thunderbolt Display | Apple keyboard and Magic TrackPad | 2Tb Time Capsule | Apple TV (3) | iPhone 4s |

I'll ask my buddy what he used, I know he used musicbrainz to fix his busted tags, get it here! He said it did a great job on the tagging. He then kicked off the conversion and went to bed, said it took around 2 hours on his iMac Core Duo, so figure a little slower on the mini hard drive.
Here it is, app is called MusicMan and has a 15 day demo, plenty of time if you are determined not to pay for it. _________________ | Mac mini 2011 | Apple Thunderbolt Display | Apple keyboard and Magic TrackPad | 2Tb Time Capsule | Apple TV (3) | iPhone 4s |

Free album art and Pac mac. You can't beat that!
I might even go back to buying some of those TV shows now that they are 640x480. |

I personally liked the green icon better, but it's all good.
Hey, I really really like Cover Flow! I'm glad to see someone else putting it to use with their Maiden collection. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini
