can anyone tell me what this means? system crashes intermittently. cooling is good but other than that I am lost and getting increasingly frustrated. is it new logic board time??

yep, sounds like new logic board time. Unresolved kernel traps are a good indication of that. Possibly a bad RAM chip . . .

The peeps over at the Genius Bar are good at sorting through crash logs and pinpointing the important stuff. They'll be able to decipher what's going on.
