my ipod always shows the red "Do not dissconect" sign. is it safe to quit Itunes and just remove the ipod?? or is there a sure way of doing this?

In iTunes, there should be an eject symbol ( ^ ) next to the iPod you can use to eject it.
Alternatively, you can drag the desktop iPod icon to the trash, or right click it and select 'eject'. |
