it appears that a fully loaded (every possible upgrade you can get you do get) on the Mac Pro is cheaper than a fully loaded G5 was? Even though the new Mac Pros have more power would you still get a G5 if you could? _________________ "You must control your future by taking command of your present, and fixing and learning from your past."

I once configured fully loaded PowerMac G5 with 16GB RAM, 1TB of HD, highest GPU, two ACDs, and everything else you can think of as an option. The total came up to something like $21,000. When I did the Mac Pro with almost all of the same options, except for 2TB of HD and a 2nd Superdrive, it came to the mid $16,000s or something like that. _________________
