I just upgraded the drive in my Micronet firewire enclosure. I used CCC to create a bootable clone. However, it doesn't show up as a startup disk choice. I am using 10.4.1. I tried to repair permissions and the disk. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Brendan

Use SuperDuper for cloning. It is 10.4.1 compatible. CCC hasn't been updated in like 3 years.

The free version of SD works perfectly. If you want scheduling and Smart updates, then you'll have to pony up $20 to enable these features. It's a great bargain for $20.

No dice. Here is the error from superduper:

|09:48:16 PM|Info| PHASE: Conclude Target Setup
|09:48:16 PM|Info| ...ACTION: Bless System on UNTITLED
|09:48:16 PM|Info| ......COMMAND => Blessing OS X System Folder

|09:48:18 PM|Info| ......COMMAND => Blessing OS 9 System Folder
|09:48:19 PM|Info| Successfully blessed Mac OS 9 System Folder on UNTITLED
|09:48:19 PM|Info| ...ACTION: Reboot from UNTITLED
|09:48:19 PM|Info| ......COMMAND => Setting startup disk to UNTITLED
|09:48:19 PM|Error| Could not get path in device plane for service
|09:48:19 PM|Error| Can't get Open Firmware information

This worked before I replaced the drive. I even tried to install Tiger from DVD, it said the drive is not startable. It did work, even after upgrading to tiger.

Fixed. Apparently, firewire stopped working on the mini. So the drive was using the USB connection. A few reboots and back in business.

How do you take apart the miniMate? I have the 160GB but don't have the nerve to rip into it.
