|
|
Hello all.
This is my first post here.
I upgraded to Tiger on my Mac Mini recently. Everything seemed fine. Then a few days ago, I started to experience some strange things happening in the finder.
In the apple menu, I now have multiple restarts, multiple shut downs and multiple log outs. In addition, when I click on an icon that is on the desktop, a box appears around the entire icon and the words beneath the icon.
When I am in an application, that box follows wherever I click.
I have been using a mac since the Mac IIcx, so I am not new to the quirks that can sometimes come up using the mac os.
I have never experienced this before.
Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone have any suggestions.
By the way, 2 days ago, I updated the system using Software Update. It made no difference.
Thanks for any input. |

Perhaps and exorcism!
Did you install anything before it went haywire? You may have to do a clean install or check your disk for errors. |

| Have you repaired the permission on the disk? If not give that a try and see if it helps. If not try trashing the finder prefrences in the Library. The Pref's will rebuild themselves and can cause many strange problems if they get corrupted! Good luck. |
