|
|
I purchased a Core Solo Mini for the purpose of installing Windows and having the ultimate Media Center PC/Mac.
I installed te firmware updates, and Boot Camp Utility, all good so far.
After inserting my Full Win XP SP2 disk and a quick restart, the Mini boots to the Windows nstaller and then the keyboard stops working when the XP install reached the “Welcome to Windows XP Professional” screen and am prompted to "Press ENTER to install Windows" screen.
Rebooted holding F12 to recover the CD and rebooted holding "C" to get back to OSX.
Tried several more times with different USB "wired" keyboards and configurations (PS2 keyboard in USB adapter) with same result.
Does anyone know how to get past this _________________ iBook, Mac Mini

The drivers failed to completely load the first go round.
I had to do a "Repair" install of XP before it would ask for the driver disk again. It cut out before it loaded the KB and Mouse driver so I had no interface with the OS.
Second time went flawlessly. |

FastEddy,
Thanks for the reply.
I can not get Windows to instal, let alone perform a repair.
The Mini stops responding to any keystrokes like Enter to install Windows, "R" for repair, or F3 to quit at the install windows screen. _________________ iBook, Mac Mini

I was ablt to resolve my issue with a different USB keyboard. I found that the keyboard did not work on the Mini under OSX either. _________________ iBook, Mac Mini
