iMac and iBook have been sold!
I am buying either a MB or MBP. (we DO have one Intel mini in the house for the kids...a CS)

That's good to hear. I thought about buying the 1.83Ghz MacBook, but decided to hold off until Leopard comes out. That should also give Apple some time to iron out any technical issues with the MacBook. Boy this sure is the year of the beta product, isn't it? |

I'll have to buy the Family Pack when Leopard comes out anyway, so there is no point in me waiting. Based on size and $$$, I think I've decided on the MB. The vendor I am buying it through has the base model MB and MBP on backorder, so I've still got about a week to decide for sure.

From what I've read on Q's website, it's for G4/G5 Macs. Parallels is for Intel Macs. |

Just a couple of things? Will it play most windows games? I know it won't play the new 3d ones.
And does it run things like turbo lister (ebay) and dvd shrink say for windows,

For games you may need to look at them one by one, though older games should work as long as they don't require 3d graphics or access to the CDROM (see later in this post).
DVD shrink and software that require CD/DVD burning don't work as far as I know because the CDROM/DVDROM implementation is still fairly basic and the OS doesn't really recognise the CD/DVD ROM drive for what it is. CD/DVD burning software doesn't work because the software doesn't recognise the hardware.
This answers something from the first question too... if games require access to the original CDROM they will likely not work because the CDROM won't be recognised by the system.
