Just wondering who plays this and what its like? I've heard people talk about it in the past and say its pretty good but I've never really played these sort of games so just wondered whats involved.
Also, how does it work on the Mac Mini? |

Haven't tried it on a mini, but I used to play it a ton on my old Windows PC when it first came out. It was a great game, but as time went on it got weaker... too many rich players and too much high level equipment sort of sapped the challenge out of it. Not to mention all the travel spires they have now make the old feeling of an impossibly big world a thing of the past.
I played the Mac version a bit on my old Sawtooth, and it seemed to have some issues with speed when you had more than a couple people per zone. Moreover, the Mac server is pretty sparsely populated, so high level raids become really difficult.
Sony sort of abandoned the Mac version, which I think is a shame... so I wouldn't expect any chance of a Universal binary update. |
