Just wanted to express my satisfaction with my newly purchased mini. Glad to be back to the wonderful OSX after years of absense. I finally got fed up with windows but didnt want to spend the cash for a Mac. That is until the mini came out. Smile
I did a little upgrading to it and now it screams! Very Happy

I love hearing that. Whats bad is I was raised on Macs and my fathers business was Mac based. (graphics and typesetting)
Then his client offered to buy him some computers, so he picked up a couple of Athlon 1.3s (high end at the time). He gave one to me and I never did enjoy it. But now.... Smile Smile SmileSmile Smile Smile

I have an old iMac, G5 and the mini. I was using Macs at school for a year or two before taking the plunge. Did you overclock your mini?

Since you overclocked both the processor and video does your mini's fan come on more often? Or does the case get hot?

Ive had them both overclocked for a week straight with only one reboot. (Had to install Tiger). The mini is still quiet. I never hear the fan and the case doesnt *feel* any different.

Does your mini still running at 1.5 ?

If so, have you notice an important increase heat (have you change fan) ?

Wink

Mini is still running great at 1.5
I am still running the factory fan and the only time I have heard it come on was when I was converting 2600+ mp3s to aac format. But it didnt stay on very long.

The hard drive is the mini's bottleneck! I'm praying Apple puts a faster HD in the mini gen2.
