Hi Guys!

I am trying to connect the mini to our new plasma.

I have the resolution set to 1028 x 768 and 60htz refresh. as the manual stated for the tv.

I am using the vga cord and have also tried the vga to component cord and am having no success with either?

Can anyone help with this? I know a lot of you have your theatre settup already,

Thanks in advance!! Kerri

vga cabling ?

really cheap wire will not pass the high bandwidth and neither will generic couplers.

does the plasma have rgbhv or does the dvi-vga adapter end with pr/pb/y component ?

or are you going dvi->vga->vga ?

a lot of displays limit the vga resolution to 640x480 or 800x600.

does your plasma have an hdmi input ?

if so then get a dvi male->hdmi female and an hdmi male->hdmi male cord.

Set resolution to 640 x 480 on another screen.
Use included DVI to VGA adapter.
Connect VGA lead between TV and Mac.
This should work. You can play with resolution to make look better.

VGA to Component lead only works Component to VGA, not the other way around.

Well! That didn't work either? I don't know what to do now?? Putting it at the lower res doesnt help nor do using vga computer cable, I might just have to give it up as a bad idea but I would LOVE it to work!!!
