I got bored tonight after work and download the Windows Media Player 11 beta on my Windows partition. I read this article on News.com and decided to give it a look-see. To make a long story short, what are these people smoking? I can't believe anyone would think this POS and the URGE music store are going to compete with iTunes. While it may be an improvement over WMP 10 (that ain't saying much), it's still a massive mess. Is Microsoft ever going to learn that less is more?  |

And they wonder why so many of us who do video on Windows have gone back to Media Player Classic. I'll also admit to using Quicktime Alternative (and Real Alternative) rather than be ripped off twice for "Pro". I'll pay it for the Mac since QT is integrated into the OS, but don't like it.
