Hi,
I wanted to learn 3D modelling so bought a book about Maya..
The Mac version of Maya is still waiting a universal binary, so I installed Boot Camp and XP and installed Maya for Windows.
Imagine my horror when Maya kept crashing at startup!
I realised that this is because it doesn't really support the Core Duo processor.. I set it to use only one processor (using the affinity flag for the process in Task Manager) and it was ROCK SOLID STABLE!!
Now, I modified the shortcut for Maya to use the ICEAffinity app to set the processor (I run it on the second core) so I never have to set it again!
BRILLIANT!
Made my day!
