Sure, we all know that DOOM isn't the kind of game you're going to run on your Mini, but there are at least a hundred games that have been released over the past 4 years that will run great.

Haven't had the opportunity yet. I was suppose to purchase my mini from Apple tomorrow, but the Hitachi Traveler I'm putting in it is on backorder.

I'm also thinking about waiting until Fall to see what Apple does with Rev 2 of the mini.

It's still up in the air right now.

As for which games I think will run perfectly well on the Mini?

Medal of Honor: Allied Assault

Tomb Raider: The Trilogy

Star Wars Jedi Knight

Combat Mission

Sure, none of them are graphically challenging, but all should run quite nicely with the 9200/w32mb ram.

I have an XBox and a PC with a 9600 XT (soon to be 6600GT) that I can run the graphically intensive stuff on.

I'm playing WoW on the mini! It was barely playable with the stock 256 mb ram, but now with 1G it plays quite nicely! My friend's windows machine has a better video card but less ram and with the same settings they are very compatible.

PS i'm using the newegg/PQI ram (now just under $100!) and it's working fine

Too bad they stopped making baseball games for the Mac. Would like to see one.

World of Warcraft indeed plays great on the mini with 1GB of ram.

Mind if I ask what settings you guys are running WoW at? I have a gig of RAM in my Mini, but I'm finding things are just too choppy to play WoW at for longer than a few minutes. I'm actually considering an Imac or PowerMac just to get around this.

Thanks!

I would "like" to have the option to play it at my LCD's native resolution, which is 1280x1024.

Right now I'm sure that would kill the Radeon 9200 even with a gig of ram and the Hitachi 7200 RPM drive.

1280x1024 would be choppy. You would need a 1GB of memory, faster drive and 128MB video to make it playable at that res.

I have been pleasantly surprised at how well my mini (1.4Ghz - 512RAM) plays games: Splinter Cell, Raven Shield, SimCity 4, Close Combat.

Good to hear the games play well. What resolutions are you running?
