hi all,
i currently have a 4gig iPod mini and i had a question about file storage: i currently have it set to not only have my itunes music on it, but i have also allowed it to be used as a file storage device for word doccuments and such. i tried viewing the files on my PC this weekend but my PC basically said "...yeah, that's not going to happen." apparently, i'm assuming, the harddrive in the iPod is formatted for mac (as my main computer is a mac mini) and that's why the files couldn't be read on my PC. but my question is-- is it possible to erase my iPod's harddrive and start from scratch, creating two partitions... one in the format that my iTunes on my mac mini uses (mac os extended journaled probably), and then the other partition with some kind of FAT system that my mac and my PC can both read for the sake of file storage. anyone know if it's possible? i figured i'd ask before i did anything that would ruin my ipod. thanks. |
