So I have just decided to stay up for at least 36 hours. I am just wondering, who thinks I can do this. I am a teenager so I love my sleep more then most people. And I have never been able to do it before. Who thinks I can do it?

I've done it before. At the end you will be happy to plant your face in a pillow. _________________

| I've done 60 hours. No drugs or coffee. 36 is a cakewalk. Unfortunately my oilfield service job dictates sleepless nights. I wouldn't do it by choice. It is bad for you. You'll grow old sooner than you would like to. |

| Did you hallucinate because of the tiredness? Someone I know said they hallucinated. |

No, for me personally, I just become rather stupid. Basic math etc. becomes an issue. Logical thinking is difficult. Your sense of awareness is diminished. Eyelids twitch. You feel buzzed. It's not a safe thing. After I go to sleep after an all-nighter, I usually feel a little hung over when I wake up.
I'm sure you could find all sorts of interesting reading on the subject. I've heard part of military training is to expose you to sleep deprivation. |

I heard that being up for 28+ hours is equivilent to having 0.1% blood alchohol (aka drunk) _________________ Mac Mini, 1.25 Ghz, 40Gb, 512, combo drive. Imac G4, 1 Ghz, 80Gb, 768, Super Drive.

One weird thing that will happen is you will get to a point where you won't really feel tired anymore. I compare it to when you get drunk to a point where you don't realize you are drunk. The next day you wake up and realize you were a lot drunker than you thought you were. (This is probably why I don't drink anymore ) |

You will get your second wind around 24-30 hours, then it gets a little harder. I used to work REALLY long shifts like Bandit Bill. They were also pressure filled because people's life depended on it. |
