Boston Legal because of Alan Shore and Denny Crane's outrageousness. And I don't even like William Shatner... _________________ iMac 2010, 21.5", 8Gb of RAM

I like and watch Lost all the time. But nothing was more compelling than the first season. _________________

Buffy the Vampire Slayer because the writing in just hilarious
Angel because it goes along with Buffy
Firefly because the people in it are not heroic martyrs, they are just normal people out for themselves, much more real even though it takes place in space :\ _________________ Mac Mini, 1.25 Ghz, 40Gb, 512, combo drive. Imac G4, 1 Ghz, 80Gb, 768, Super Drive.

If you are talking about the first season of Lost then yes it was very good. I bought the first season on DVD just days after it came out. Im loving season 2 though. I really like the work of J.J. Abrams. |

Yeah so far I like the first season more. Stuff with the polar bears, the black smoke, etc. really interested me. Plus the mystery of what was inside the "hatch". Now that we know what's inside, it doesn't interest me as much.
It also could be that I didn't get into lost until the 2nd season was running. So I sat down watching the DVDs from beginning to end.
.............
Interest gets me to continue to watch Lost. Of course I want some people to die on the show already. lol
But it's the suspense of 24 that has me painfully impatient to watch the next episode. _________________

Odd isn't it? Last season
*Lost - now it's just highly repetitive
*Desperate Housewives - now it's like any old drama, probably because the plot behind the suicide is now known
*Medium - was VERY good in the first season as the focus was not on the cases so much as the effects it was having on her family (the Texas Rangers ep was simply the best!)
Still retaining my interest
*Bones - well that cleavage what more can I add...
*House - still quirky if the teams character development seems to have stalled
*Invasion - rather enjoy this and
*Surface - can't see where it's going but highly entertaining still
sadly the last 2 have paused for the moment...
worth trying/watching
*In Justice
*Kitchen Confidential - this was simply HILARIOUS but I think it's off air but available via Bittorrent
*24 - the plots got very silly (nuclear bomb?) but the current season is better
*Eyes - very good and quirky PI drama that deserved a continuation - again Bittorent should help you out
*Corner Gas - Canadian comedy that hovers just below the threshold of being funny but you keep watching 'cos you know it'll happen in one episode soon...
*Veronica Mars - can't put my finger on why I keep watching this psuedo-teen drama
*Sopranos - is back on but after a near 2 year lay off feels somewhat dated
*E.R. - an old faithful
*Battlestar Galactica - at the seson break...
*Stargate Atlantis - too formulaic but if there's nothing else - in season break
... and lots of one off or short series of dramas via Bittorrent. As an example the superb Charlie Jade sci-fi (Canadian/South African collaboration) that was around a few months back. Very different and highly recommended if it ever makes it to DVD.
[@ boxcar182 - re. Firefly: have a look for a torrent upped in the past few days called "Starhunter" it's almost exactly like Firefly ... except it predated it. Naughty Mr Whedon.... Well worth watching the 22 eps] |

The reason this year is good, because there is no side focus on a "sleeper family". For my personal taste, I didn't like that story of last year. Also it helps since this season has been non-stop action so far. Plus like I said in my first post, Jack Bauer kicks ass. _________________

Lost - Have to watch it weekly, viewing the episodes back-to-back on DVD detracts from digesting it properly.
Desprate Housewives - Still enjoying it, though not as much as the first season.
Battlestar Galactica - With Farscape and Firefly off the air, I need my fix and it fits the bill nicely.
I fell behind on Surface, and haven't gotten around to buying the episodes on iTunes yet, but it held my attention. |

Even though this season has been sort of a disappointment, the Sopranos still ranks at the top of my list. I'm also a huge Neflixoholic.
Sopranos
South Park
NFL and College Football
24
Monk
Lost
