I don't know if they could possibly make that gateway any uglier.

Will the iMac please take yet another bow.

That thing is pretty ugly, but it would not look as bad from the front only. The piece comining up the back side of the monitor really kills it.

Let's not get too carried away though. It takes full sized components and it doesn't look much different than a desktop PC with an LCD placed on top. The all black look is a plus. However when I saw the $1000 price tag it became rather ugly again.

When ugly and hideous come together, their powers form this masterpiece of repulsity.

Who ever come up with that should have their head put in a gullotine...

There is also a Sony all-in-one that is almost as ugly. The stand sticks out about a foot from the back Laughing

I don't understand. In the hardware world, Apple is a pretty small company. Certainly smaller than Sony. Yet they manage to get better engineers, better industrial designers and are willing to seek out and/or make the components they need to make their vision a reality. A big reason why the iMac is so gorgeous is because Apple didn't just slap a standard CD drive (and other parts) on it.

So why can't Sony do that?

I also don't understand how anyone could see an iMac, then see these two and possibly even consider not getting the iMac. It's an f'ing no brainer.

that sony computer looks like a tv held together by a giant stapler

sigh... I wonder why Apple is the only company that can make eye-pleasing innovations.

They lack in the desktop computer department. Their notebooks are decent though. If I was ever to get a Wintel notebook, it probably would be a Vaio.

But they do have some decently designed things, but you do have to pay for it.

They really have only one model of desktops at a time, and I don't care for the current one much...
