|
|
| I was starting to install Windows and when I got into the initial setup my keyboard and mouse wouldn't work. I powered down with the power button and it boots right back into the Windows CD. I tried holding down the F12 key and mouse button after powering back up but they wouldn't eject the CD. What can I do? |

Does it boot into windows? Or, hold the option (alt) key and it will let you choose which to boot from. Choose Mac OS X and then eject from there.
There is also some command that can eject at startup, like holding D or something. |

Try booting while holding down the mouse button. This should eject the disk.
Notice I said should. Hope it works for you. |

It boots into the Windows installer on the CD.

I tried that and holding down the F12 key, but it still won't eject. |

Try holding down the X key. That will force it to start OS X. _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)

Thank you so much! It booted into OS X and I was able to eject it. I was even looking around on the net to see if there was one of those emergency releases you use with a paperclip. Guess I need to use another mouse and keyboard to setup Boot Camp. This one is a wireless Logitech EX110 set. |
