This is nuts, but I pre-ordered Mac Tiger at the Apple Store for $129 so I would have it by the 29th. Now I see on ebay where I could pick it up for $87 + $4 shipping. My question is; how can someone on ebay sell it so cheaply. I have not canceled my order at Apple yet, but am I nuts for getting it through them and not on ebay?
P.S. - I see Amazon has a $35 rebate but I hate rebates.
Thanks! |

Apple have tight controls on both profit margins and release times.
eBay deal seems a little too good to be true. It's extremely unlikely that anyone will find a legal copy that costs significantly less than Amazon's price.
I'd stick with your existing preorder and hope you see it soon.

| I pre-ordered on Amazon. I never shop on Ebay because I've been burnt in the past. $85 sounds to good to be true! It might be someone who got educational discounts. I think the Education discount brought Tiger to like $69? I just hope the Amazon Tiger orders get out fast and wish that Apple would have given some price breaks. |
