Hey everyone. We all know how imac gets a facelift about every 5 years...
What do yall think the next imac will look like? It is a very interesting concept to think about. Apple always seems to come up with something amazing!
Predictions..predections
maybe they'll bring back a studio montior type thing with the computer built into the black. Maybe they'll offer clear and white? Who knows... _________________ Andrew

| Well, they will not bring back the seperate base like the G4's had. They won't offer clear because you will be able to see the insides and they are not as clean as Apple would like, I bet. I would have to say they add more silver accents to it, like some silver bezels and stuff, and maybe some more media functionality, like a media card reader. As for general design, who knows what Apple is cooking up. |

Most likely it will probably need a stand, but in all honesty . . I really think the next iMac will be a tablet so that you can carry it around the house. UWB Technology will help with the connectivity to peripherials too . . . plus different colored iMacs . . . _________________ iMac Fans Unite

Tablets suck, the iMac would become a complete failure if they did that. _________________ Mac Mini, 1.25 Ghz, 40Gb, 512, combo drive. Imac G4, 1 Ghz, 80Gb, 768, Super Drive.

Honestly, I love the G4 iMac's design - it's still my favorite. Being able to swivel the monitor everywhichway was great, IMO.
I think the new iMacs will be thinner, and have less of a chin.
I'm thinking the next gen will really emphasize "where did the computer go?" |

The next iMac will not have any pedestal at all. It will feature alien anti-gravity technology obtained from Area 51 and it will magically levitate above your desk. _________________ Mac Pro Quad 2.66GHz, PowerMac G5 2.3 GHz, iMac Core Duo 17", MacBook Pro 2GHz, MacBook Pro 2.2GHz, Mac mini Core 2 Duo 1.83GHz. any one hazard a guess as to when the next imac speed bump would be? based on how often they usually bump up the specs?

Well, since they switched to Intel I think they will be upgrading more often but I think the next upgrade will come around when they introduce the 2.33 Yonah, or when they introduce the new Conroe/Merom line. _________________ Mac Mini, 1.25 Ghz, 40Gb, 512, combo drive. I wonder if it would look any different from an Apple Cinema Display. Mostly aluminum with no chin, iSight, slot-load Superdrive and hopefully a revamped keyboard.
Come in silver or black anodized aluminum. _________________
