Hi Brian,
If this estimate is correct, and it would explain the 4 + weeks waiting time for Apple to deliver my next Mac mini to the dealer admitedly it was a build and Tiger is due, but I picked up on someone in the know saying Mac mini's were hard to get here, by the way that is normal for popular apple here items in Australia.
Also it woould verify some thinking in one of my recent article to describe the family of Mac mini being from the iMac G5 downwards. I really think this is how they are perceiving the market now but are not really sure of the impact of the Mac mini, and in my estimation may be we are all in for a shock if the market place responds, Apple may have growing pains. I estimate the Mac mini may go like the iPod, it may be slow to start, but look 3 years down the line at the switcher and education market and Mac mini versions.
Good times ahead perhaps. I really see the iAppliance market taking off and already someone has come out with a minitablet hand held to be marketed in Japan I saw whilst browsing(see page 2 Endgaget)

<Is this that new ultracompact Tablet PC?> It would not be hard for Apple to add a 7" LCD to the Mac mini.
