PowerSupport Mac Mini Accessories

PowerSupport Japan has unveiled a line of Mac mini accessories. The accessories appear to be a Mac mini riser, protective cover and air filter base. The Mac mini riser appears to have the air filter base built into it. They also sell replaceable filters for the riser and stand alone filter base. The Mac mini accessories are not available on the PowerSupport USA website at this time. We'll keep you posted as we get in more information!

Hmmm...These offerings look a little weak. Perhaps the protective cover might be worthwhile...Don't understand the purpose of the riser though.

WTF. Maybe the filter is really some sort of silencer? I would not buy one but I'm interested to find out what it really is. I mean wouldn't it block air flow?

Well, ok...Now that makes a little bit of sense. (not enough to actually BUY it, but to at least UNDERSTAND it.)

What...is it that dusty in Japan?  Maybe if you were using the mini in a really dusty environment or using your mini as a file server tucked away would this even begin to make sense.

| The filter and the protector anyway. I modified my pc tower case to have a mesh over the front air intake area and I have to clean it once a week as it becomes almost completely clogged up with schmutz. What can I say, I both have cats and a very dusty environment besides, and I don't want the insides of my mini looking like the mesh on my pc! As for the cover protector sheets, they'd be a lot more attractive than the sheet of paper I have sitting on my mini right now. Just wonder if they also cover the small crack between the white plastic and the aluminum shell. |

It looks like the ring fits around the edge and forms a seal between the gap of the plastic and metal.
