This is interesting. It shows how to make a perfect mirror of one mini to another over Firewire IP. This guy did it for a web server (so don't let the webmin references throw you) , but the principal would work the same with any mini!
You could have a perfect backup of a mini on a second mini!

Coolness. Thanks for the link.
BTW, you got anybody running linux on their mini's? (because if I was to go for a service like yours, that is exactly what I'd do) _________________ -=iMav=-

Oops, forgive me if I didn't make myself clear. I am quite familiar with linux on the Mac. I simply was wondering if macminicolo had any current customers with linux on their minis. _________________ -=iMav=-

We are not aware of any linux on mini in our data center.
But since we are colo and not hosting, we only know what our clients tell us and what we can see from monitoring tools. (would be spammers who are reading this---get lost; we see that)
We really don't want to play big brother.
I will inform the group if we get a report either way. |

Has anyone seen any performace comparisions with the mini running OS X v. linux (for strictly server-related activities such as web, mail, etc)?? _________________ -=iMav=-
