It's now working again (perfectly)! Much easier to install this time. No need forPacifist. Instructions at Andrew Escobar's website: http://www.andrewescobar.com/frontrow

What type of remote are you using? What are some of the advantages of Front Row really? See my signature for the "tools" I use. _________________ 1.42 GHz Mac Mini/ 1GBCrucial RAM/WiFi BT

Do you get the sense that Apple is purposely removing the roadblocks for installation on machines that aren't officially supported?
I don't know the answer as I've never installed Front Row on my Mini and so have no basis for comparison, but I'm interested in what people think about that.

I may look into this. I want FR on my Mini. I even have the Apple remote and the iPod dock with IR reciever (but the IR wires do not go back to the mini ) Come on Apple give me FR and I'll buy an IR reciever from you. _________________ Sincerely,

I have the ATI Remote Wonder (a RF remote) with their excellent MacOS X software. However, I find myself using the Apple BT keyboard more. I have F13 assigned to launch FR, and I just use the arrow keys. It's nice to have a quick access to iTunes, DVD Player, and iPhoto (and all associated media files) with just one keystroke. Also, with the new version of FR, you can acess SHARED music and movies!
As for my setup. My cheapie HD system consists of the MacMini (of course), Transit USB (digital audio out), Syntax Olevia 30" HD LCD, Motorola 6412 HD-PVR, JVC 68K D-VHS and a Samsung HTIB.

I followed the directions and after 2 re-boots I was good to go. Seems to work well for me. _________________ Sincerely,

Thanks, bruintoo.
I was going to order the Griffin Air Click. Glad I waited. I have the Apple Wireless Keyboard. Now I only need to install Front Row. I use my Mini in my living area with my HDTV. I am going to give FR a try.
