Except that this design looks more like a set-top box for the living room. Which means playing/storing audio CDs and playing DVDs. The USB ports are the things that wouldn't be used much on such a device (Bluetooth remote and keyboard).
Maybe FireWire 400 and USB 2.0 ports on the front (for miniDV cams and digital cameras). |

| I agree with the first person. It looks like an iPod laying on its back. |

| This is not a good idea. iPod docks are a great idea on a music system, and there are several such available, but not on a laptop. All this does is add complexity and cost to a device which needs to be engineered to an attractive price point. The iPod could be connected through a USB port. Adding a redundant interface merely because it looks cool does not make good economic sense. GH |

| Oh, I see. It's supposed to be a Mini. That's an even dumber idea. It's not portable, so you're at home. Either you have a nice music system, in which case you just need the Apple dock to connect your iPos to your system, or you get a compact music system with an iPod dock, of which there are several to choose from (Bose, etc.). A bloated Mini misses the whole point, which is a compact computer with full connectivity. An iPod connection is just to specialized to make sense. |
