Since most of the post here are looking upgrade the memory on a mini, I'm curious what happens to all the pulled 256 modules?
I got about 40 of them here if anybody know a good use, or a way I can dump them. |

256MB sticks can be donated to the SAVE BLAZER FUND!
I would try to dump them on eBay. Problem is everyone wants 512MB or 1GB. You could always donate them to a school or charity! _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini

I replaced my 256 stick with 512 from another box, so I am gonna take the 256 and another that I have ordered and put it back into the i386 box.
Incidentally, opening the Mini was remarkably easy, All that deodorant I used was wasted!

I hope you mean your Athlon XP box. 386 mobos used 33Mhz SIMMS.
We had Compaq 386/20e machines with 16MB RAM, and they cost $8000 each, back in ~1989.
I used to build up 486/66s for use with NEXTSTEP and we'd come in around $7000 with 128MB RAM.
Back on topic, I don't even have a box that will take PC2700 any more. My AMD_64 system uses PC3200 and it is maxed out with 4 x 512MB. So, I think that I am going to EBay mine. |
