The AOpen miniPC has been out for a while. I haven't read anything about Apple suing them. It would be totally stupid if they did. Because they would end up giving the knockoffs more attention than they deserve. They also better be careful because AOpen is putting the dual core Yonah in their new models later this spring. They could make the Mac mini's look underpowered if Apple decides to go with the core solo.

I guess all computers of the same type look alike anyway, be they laptops, desktops or "mini"-style models.

I have a feeling we could be hearing a lot more about this AOpen dual core miniPC down the road, even though it's running Winblows. |

I hate everything about the Mac mini's power button. The size, location, and feel. It would be great to have the button up front. There are another few things that would be cool to have up front. Like a USB port and one of those little IR eyes for Front Row like the Macbook Pro has. |

It costs $870-1220USD, weighs 4Lbs, and runs Windows? I'll take two Minis over one of their Mini PC Plus things.

Yeah, I thought it looked comparatively expensive, especially when going through to the configurator and pimping it up, somewhat.
As for the power button, I don't have a problem with that, but I do with the way the power cable goes into the back of the machine.
If you ever buy an Apple Cinema Display, count the number of times you accidentally turn the thing off when adjusting it's position on the desk... |

I have never turned my Cinema Display on/off while adjusting my monitor. It is so easy to adjust that you can adjust it with one finger, pushing near the center, on the top or bottom of the bezel. If I'm adjusting it from the sides I grab the monitor just above center, as that is where the pivot point is located on the back of the display. Your fingers or thumb will never touch the side of the display and even if they did the power button is 8 inches lower.
I like the power button on the Cinema Display and it's placement. The touch sensitive design is pretty cool. |

I think it's the fact that I push it at least 2 times a day (once in the morning at work and once in the evening at home) that it starts to annoy me, having to reach around to the back, that is. Actually, if the Mini would power on via the button on my old Apple USB keyboard, I probably wouldn't care. |
