I can't remember which model, I want to say 2400 (or maybe 3600), but it was some sort of Performa. If I remember correctly it had 75 MHz. _________________ Mac Mini 1.83 GHz C2D

I bought one of the original Macs in the mid-80's. 512 KB of RAM, as I recall. A few months later my brother gave me a stackable hard drive with the same footprint as the mac... a whopping 10 MB! I was in hog heaven.
Then, in 1988, I was moving across the country and had virtually no money, so I sold the Mac to a friend of mine to raise a little cash, intending to eventually buy another Mac. But, lamentably, I wound up buying a PC, which was the beginning of almost 20 years of wandering thru the PC / Microsloth Windows wilderness. I was lured back to the world of Mac about 18 months ago by the mini, and it's great to be here. I am fiirmly back in the Mac camp now, having recently bought a MacBook as well.
I still have the carrying case for that old original Mac, if anybody out there could use one. It makes a nice soft bed for the kitty who hangs out here.

My first was a mac plus. I maxed out the Ram (I think it was 2 megs???)
I also added a radius 68020 accelerator on it. Cost me around $500 at the time. That Plus screamed with speed. What a joke now. Although I did program databases using Omnis 3 plus, and did desktop design with Aldus Pagemaker. |

My first mac was a G3 Blue & White Tower ANd the 17 inch apple studio display that weighed 500 pounds..lol I had a usb 2.0 card installed in it and upgraded the ram and hard drive. I even ran tiger 10.4 on it. I used it until i got my new mini last month! It worked fine, but it was just too slow for todays internet. _________________ Intel core 2 duo Mac Mini, 80 gig WD My Book, 250 gig one touch firewire External drive, 8Gb iPhone 3g, 64 gig wifi iPad! |

My first Mac was a Plus(in 89 or so), then a IIci, then a 7500, then a 8500, then a Blue and White, then a FrankenMac Sawtooth G4, then a FrankenMac DA G4, then a G4 mini, and soon an Intel mini.
Other Macs that have landed in my collection - 7200, 8100, 7100 with a G3 card, and a Quadra 605.
First computer experience - TRS-80 Model I.
My first computer - Atari 800 with just a cassette drive, but moved up to dual Rana 1000s, and finally a Happy 810.
First student to use the Macintosh at my High School. Had to sit and listen to the familiarization tape. Stopped paying attention to the tape and explored on my own after a couple of minutes.
I think that's about it....

LC II, I was using it for midi sequencing. It was rock solid, perfect timing and NEVER any problems.
If I knew where it was now, I would use it again as the primary sequencer in my setup. |

My first Macintosh was the Mac Plus, which I bought in 1987 for an ungodly amount of money - as an example an 800k external floppy drive was $400.
I LOVED that machine and still think of it fondly.
Prior to that I was an Apple II user, and I loved that machine as well. |

My first Mac is the Mini I'm using now, but my first Apple computer was a Apple II GS which I purchased in 1988. Since purchasing the Mini I also found a used PowerMac on Craigslist for $80 and purcahsed it for my son to learn on. _________________ Mac Mini 2.0GHz, 4GB, 320GB 7200 RPM HD, nVidia 9400
