Hello everyone,
i am looking to buy an lcd monitor next weekend during the massachusetts tax free weekend and i was wondering what do you guys recommend. i am looking for a monitor that can display 2 things side by side (20?,21.6?,22?, ???) in either 1680*1050 or 1920*1200. is there a noticeable difference between the 2 resolutions? and can you guys point me in the right directions when it come to reviews ( i find cnets review to be good but there is just not enough of them) and some good online stores besides newegg and tigerdirect.
p.s. - i find the acd's are way to expensive for my budget.
thanks for all the help _________________ bfuerst

Keep your eyes open for 20-inchers with a 1600x1200 res. That's exactly what I bought, since it gives me 83% of the screen space of a 1920x1200 for a lot less than 83% of the price... _________________ Intel Mini 2.0GHz C2D (4GB/120GB/SuperDrive/10.5.8 ), 120GB WD Passport, Logitech ergo k/b

It's 4 by 3 aspect ratio = full screen (not wide 16 by 10).

That's right, 4:3. This diagram is good for direct comparisons...
With a 1600x1200, you get all of the height of a 1920x1200 and most of the width of a 1680x1050. But if you want a widescreen monitor, this isn't gonna be much use... _________________ Intel Mini 2.0GHz C2D (4GB/120GB/SuperDrive/10.5.8 ), 120GB WD Passport, Logitech ergo k/b
