After a thunderstorm my mini C2D will no longer power up , with all other leads disconnected when the power supply lead is connected the fan running high speed is the only response .
All power button holding sequences are no use .
Is this a sign of fried mac . What are the my options ?
thank's in advance

Well, Sumpter, it's not sounding good. I had a 2009 mini that started having logic board problems for a few months until it finally gave up and wouldn't run at all. Similar symptom where the fan ran but nothing started. I took it to the Genius bar at the local Apple store and they wanted a couple of hundred for a new logic board... which I opted not to get and just bought a new mini.

You might try making an appointment at your local store, if you haven't already. I don't know if AppleCare would cover this or not, though you didn't say how old the mini is.

Good luck.

Could be he damaged ram or even the power supply itself but i would go with a power surge has most likely taken the processor and graphics card out.
