Hi Folks,

I'm looking for the best replacement airport card for my Mac mini 2006, as the WiFi on my Mac appears to have died!

I was wondering which is the card to use- would an atheros 9280 be the best card for my 2006 Mac? Or is there a better, more reliable card I should go for instead?

Any help is really appreciated as I don't want to get rid of my old Mac just yet!

I suggest a USB adapter. You can get 802.11AC speeds using the one below. Otherwise, you'll be stuck at 802.11g with the Mini, unless you can figure out a way to add extra antennas.

I dont i suggest getting a wireless card from amazon the one from the iMac to be exact it will enable air commands on your o.s so you can take advantage of faster speeds and better connections.

IIRC, you need a Core2Duo CPU to upgrade the internal card, so that would be something you need to consider.
