Where are those icns files in my OSX 10.9 machine? I am thinking about to make a copy of them and use them to replace the new icns from 10.10 if I don't like the new icons. Is this even possible? Thanks for help.

I can't say for sure, but I am thinking that if you update the icns files the system should still run, even if 10.10 doesn't like the 10.9 icns files. In which case you would be able to revert to the saved 10.10 icns files.

SC, I am not sure you got my post or I don't your response? (I apologize) Any way, I am still on 10.9, not yet ug to 10.10 I am thinking to make a copy of all 10.9 icns files, then after ug to 10.10 if I don't like the new icons I can change/replace them with the old 10.9 icons. So first I need to make a copy of 10.9 icns b4 ug, but where are all the 10.9 icns files I can find? Thanks

Ditto. Tried explaining ResEdit to a newer Mac user recently.

I'm not sure if there is a way to easily harvest all the icns files. Especially since OS X is comprised of a bajillion files.
