I have an old G4 that I resurrected. It has OS X 10.4.11 on it, and after being on for it bit the video started shut off when ever I would move a window. I rebooted it, it lost the power on chime, and no video. I tried resetting the PRAM, the chime came back but still no video. So I left it on for a bit, then pressed the power button briefly. It went to sleep, and I press the power button again, and the video worked fine. I rebooted again and again I lost the power on chime and again have no video. Could this be a bad PRAM battery? If not thoughts?

If it is the original PRAM battery, it could very well be dead by now. However, that would only really have an effect on the mini remembering the date and a few other things. So I would rule this out as a major concern.

You might want to consider opening it up, and making sure the memory is seated, and blow any accumulated dust out of the CPU cooler.
