I want to use my Macbook Air to watch a Blu-ray Disc movie but Apple can't play it as I know. So any tools I need?

You would need an external BD-ROM drive, and an application that plays Bluray movie discs. There is only one that I know of, and they only advertise via spamming forums.

Or you could rip the movie with MakeMKV(and a BD-ROM drive), and watch it with VLC.

As I know, Apple Mac has never been able to play Blu-ray Disc or its ISO image files, neither the Super drive could read Blu-ray. So what I do now is to introduce some practical Blu-ray player software on Mac to all the Apple machine users such as VLC and Macgo Mac Blu-ray Player. Besides, an external Blu-ray drive is also needed.
