| Very, very nice Jordz. Does it have ANY logo on it? It seems like it's a G-Drive look alike. |

The Pleiades is also what OWC rebadges and sells as their Mercury Elite Aluminum. _________________ MacBook Pro 1.83GHz Core Duo, 2GB RAM, 250GB HD, Dell 802.11n card, 1.4TB external

I thought that looked familiar. One advantage to the Mercury Elite is you get firewire and usb. But the disadvantage is all the branding on the Mercury. _________________ Mini 1: 2.3 ghz Core i5; 8 gb RAM, Corsair 240gb SSD, 500 gb Seagate XT

own one awesome needs to have fan installed has a place to unstall one already cut out no need for extreme modding easy to upgrade with a screw driver and it works great
and now is only 170 dollers at your local mac store |

| I wish you could order directly from Macpower. These companies that use them for supplier end up putting the worst looking badges on the enclosures. They look so much better without anything on them. |

Hi
this is my first post.
I am considering what accessories I want/need when I buy a MacMini, to be used in a home theatre set-up. I intend the mini to drive a Fujitsu plasma (and hope I don't have any burn-in issues). I am condidering both an additional HDD and a DVD player/burner.
re the LaCie HDD, other drives I have read about state that they automatically power up and down with the MacMini (e.g. Iomega's MacMini footprint-shaped hard drive can do this). But LaCie do not indicate if this is so, and its power switch is inconveniently placed at the rear.
Does anyone know?
Is the Iomega another good choice?
thanks for any posts.
