There are some UI things I really like about iOS 7, but I can't stand the color pallet or stark white look. It's about the ugliest thing Apple has ever created. Especially within the Phone application itself.

After several false starts, I have it on my iPhone 4 and it is installing on my iPad 2 as I write this. My overall impression is positive. I like the new design, but in some apps there seems to be insufficient contrast.

Their servers must be super busy- shows like the update will take over 20+ hours. ...and it's not my connection, according to SpeedTest I get 56Mbps downloads.

Free with ads. $25 a year for iTunes Match with no ads in iTunes Radio.

I can't stand the new iMessage and Mail apps. I feel like they are a giant step backwards. Heck, you can't even swipe to delete or edit within threads.

I would agree. The mix of white backgrounds, a thinner font in pink, yellow or blue, and grey icons toggling those colors make it horrible. The Notes application is the worst of all. It don't care for the design of the new keyboard either.

I'm extremely disappointed with that as well.

I don't care for the new UI and colors at all. I pray they don't bring a similar design to OS X. Maybe it's time to bring back Scott Forstall. Laughing

You can swipe to delete message in Mail by swiping right to left.

It took me a while to find that one. What a stupid UI decision to undo all the learnt behaviour, what are Apple playing at Confused Mind you they did the same with the mouse scrolls on the Mac.

I updated mine last night, it was very slow to download but finally came in just as I was about to call it a night and go to bed. I think the new icons look look like they were meant for a 10 year old. It feels like I've picked a kids phone up by mistake. Definitely in fitting with the colourful 5C though.

I like the new control centre, its a great addition though and makes the phone much easier to use quickly. I'm always using the Calculator, the Camera, the Torch (i.e Flash Light in US speak) and the audio controls and it annoys the hell out of me having to keep entering my password. So Control Centre is a winner for me Smile
